Since 2009, the FinnWASH-BG project has been implementing the CMP approach in the Benishangul-Gumuz region. COWASH entered Benishangul-Gumuz Region 2014.

Maps and GIS-databases of nine COWASH woredas in Benishangul-Gumuz region.
Five BG-woredas were supported by FinnWASH-BG project in Metekel and Pawe Special Zones until 2015. In Benishangul-Gumuz, the CMP approach has been piloted for higher level technologies such as gravity schemes, solar pumps and deep boreholes.
