Development policy is an integral part of Finland’s foreign and security policy. Development policy contributes to the global effort to eradicate poverty through economically, socially and ecologically sustainable development. The Government of Finland has been supporting the development of the CMP approach in the Amhara region since 1994 and currently two projects, the COWASH project and the FinnWASH-BG project in the Benishangul-Gumuz region are applying the CMP.
